New Patients

We would love to have you and your pet join the B’ahava Veterinary Health & Wellbeing Family. We are currently welcoming new patients at our wellness center in Roanoke, TX. We also offer in-home consultations and/or treatment in select areas throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex

Please keep in mind that while no referral is required, we strongly encourage you to maintain a relationship with your primary veterinarian for routine wellness, diagnostics, and procedures. We will partner with them to ensure the whole health of your pet is appropriately monitored and sustained.

Take your time to explore our website and learn more about what we have to offer. Should you find that our services align with what you are seeking for your pet(s), below is an outline of the patient intake process on how to become a new B’ahava family member.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

What to Expect

Step 1 - Decisions

Choose Appointment Type & Location

In addition to learning more about your pet and your goals for their care, there are two decisions we’ll need you to make prior to scheduling an appointment:

Do you want to schedule time for the first treatment to take place during the initial consultation and exam?
All new patients start out with a consultation and TCVM exam to establish a veterinarian-client-patient relationship and a TCVM pattern diagnosis. If requested when scheduling the appointment, we can also allocate time to complete the first acupuncture and/or Tui-na treatment during the same visit.

Where would you like to schedule the appointment?
We are able to provide services from our wellness center in Roanoke, TX or at your home within most areas of the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex.

Wellness Center
Our wellness center is located at 212 James Street in the heart of Roanoke, Texas just off of historic Oak Street. We are conveniently located between North Oak Street and Hwy-377. Click here to learn more about our wellness center.

In-Home Treatments
Our services can also be provided in a client’s home within the DFW Metroplex. A doctor travel fee will apply for locations outside of the immediate Roanoke area. For an estimate specific to your home address, please complete the New Patient Interest Form below.

Step 1 - Decisions

Step 2 - Interest Form

New Patient Interest Form

To help us understand more about your needs and address any questions you may have, we ask that you complete our short New Patient Interest Form.

Our team will get back to you as quickly as possible and will include a detailed estimate based upon the information you provide.

Step 2 - Interest Form

Step 3 - Schedule

Schedule Appointment

We use the information submitted in the New Patient Interest Form to help us learn a little more about your pet and provide an estimate prior to scheduling an appointment.

If you have already completed the form, please respond to the message we send you to schedule an appointment. If not, please complete the form and a member of our team will reach out to you.

Due to the mobile nature of our practice, we may not be able to provide an immediate response, however we will reach back out to you to answer any questions and find a good date/time to meet. We will also take payment for a deposit to hold your appointment.

Step 3 - Schedule

Step 4 - Pre-Appointment Prep

Medical Records and Paperwork

A confirmation email will walk you through the information we need before the appointment.  We will be asking for the following three items:

Medical Records
Please request records from your primary veterinarian and any specialists so we can have a complete medical history to review.

Waivers
There are a number of important documents for you to review prior to our first appointment. You will receive a link to review these online.

Intake Form
We will ask you to complete an extensive intake form that goes over your goals as well as observations of your pet’s behaviors, activities, and interests. This form is more elaborate than what you would find through a conventional veterinary office, and may require additional time to complete it. This is a very important part of the process as it gives our team insight into your pet’s health and wellbeing outside of what can be observed during the appointment.

Step 4 - Pre-Appointment Prep

Step 5 - Appointment Day

Day of Appointment

The big day is here – it’s time for our first appointment! Plan on approximately one hour for a consultation or two hours if you’ve chosen to include treatment. If you have scheduled appointments for more than one pet, additional time will be required.

We ask that you or a designated guardian (18 years of age or older) be available to participate for the entire duration of the appointment. Dr. Levin-Russo will discuss expectations, perform a full nose-to-tail TCVM exam, develop a treatment plan tailored to your pet’s needs, as well as answer any questions you may have.

Step 6 - Next Steps

Therapy Options Between Appointments

Dr. Levin-Russo will work with you on therapies that can be completed at home between appointments. These may include:

  • Tui-na (Chinese medical massage)
  • Herbal Therapy
  • Food Therapy
  • Pulse Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) Therapy
Step 6 - Next Steps

Step 7 - Follow-Up

Next Appointment

Following the initial treatment, patients often require at least 2 additional visits. However, this can vary based on the patient’s condition(s) and will be discussed as part of the treatment plan during the initial consultation.

Our team will work with you to schedule follow-up appointments in alignment with your pet’s treatment plan.
